Working for Bury St Edmunds

Mark has lived in Bury St Edmunds since 1993 with his family and two poodles. With his wife he runs his own business www.egconsulting.co.uk

He has two teenage children, one at University in London the other in her GCSE year. For 15 years he has been a councillor, at St Edmundsbury Borough Council and more recently at Suffolk County Council. This is his third attempt to get elected as a local MP. He doesn’t give up easily!

Make it a first for Suffolk

MARK EREIRA-GUYER

Vote for someone who puts you before party politics.  My priorities:

for Everyone

  • A Green New Deal with jobs and massive investment in Green Technology with energy efficiency a priority
  • A strong professionally –led NHS
  • Ensuring Suffolk remains truly rural, and is not over-developed, with vibrant Post Offices, Shops, Pubs and affordable housing
  • Social Justice for all with a higher national minimum wage (£8 per hour) and new maximum wage policy too (this would ensure that the pay of the highest-paid person in any public sector organisation should not exceed the lowest-paid by more than 10 times)
  • Quality public services, which are human scale (No to plans for bigger schools, hospitals and councils which are remote and bureaucratic)
  • Yes to European Co-operation, but NO to a European Superstate and the Euro.

for Older people

  • Free social care (like they have in Scotland!)

So here I am again. Third time lucky?

My goal is to secure the best possible vote for the Green agenda at the forthcoming general election (most likely date being 6 May). I believe that there is no reason we can't capitalise on the keen desire out there in Suffolk and nationally for political climate change - moving on from the dreary, insipid political discourse we have now.

We’re in a fix……
